  2. Hi, I'm from Fenelon Falls On. And love cooking I have worked in several restaurants and also opened a successful Pizza and Pasta shop in a small town of Coboconk but sold to my partner as partnerships are hard especially when he had no prior cooking or restaurant experience. I'm 52 years of age and currently drive a vac truck in Grande Prairie Ab. And travel home to visit my wife and children every 6 weeks. I have looked at purchasing several restaurants in the Lindsay area but they are asking way to much. I have attended George Brown College at night for 7 years while managing an oil company for Bluewave Energy in Minden. I have received my culinary arts diploma and taken several other courses. I love cooking and love the restaurant business. Last time through the Toronto airport I purchased and loved your smoked meat sandwich. I would love to open a Caplansky deli around the Lindsay area. Do you sell franchises? Thank you and I am looking forward to a sandwich Feb 20th. Doug Traill

  1. Zane, one question: Are you an over the roll or under the roll kind a guy when it comes to the toilet paper.... Ok, I lied, 2 questions. What I really want to know is when can I buy your great products in Alberta (or online w/ delivery)?
  2. there is nothing wrong with the sign at the airport deli, it lacks bluster , how about ZANE CAPLANSKY'S FAMOUS DELI
  3. Have you ever cut slices of meat so thin you couldn't even see them? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcFZIj96LwY
  4. Based on research I've done on the internet and around town; Caplanskys IS what Willis was talking about. Can you confirm or deny. My thesis depends on this btw. No pressure.
  5. Hi Zane. Saw the Dragons Den. I think your truck idea is fantastic. Been to New York many times and truck vendors are everywhere. Montreal is permitting the trucks again as long as you have a sit down deli where the food is prepared. I am in Montreal. Never go to Toronto. How can I get some smoke meat from you here??? Can you ship it courier? I would love to try it. I luv smoke meat. Maybe you should go the deli route. 1 per city only and then your trucks. Let me know how I can try it ok. ""Keep on truckin"". 4. Why is the City of Toronto continuing to make it practically impossible for a Food Truck business to thrive. I had Ontario's first neopolitan pizza oven on a trailer that i drove around to farmers markets but it was impossible to grow beyond that. I enjoy the amazing food from these trucks in other progressive cities but not here. Its an insult to have to park your truck on private property like the RBC building in order to avoid tickets so people can eat interesting food. Food Trucks have been proven to grow the local economy and has provided many jobs
  5. Hi Zane, I was interested in your article in the star the other day about food truck bylaws. We are a Toronto startup that provides online ordering systems for restaurants. We think there may be a way to partially get around the bylaw problem via online ordering, but just wanted to get your take on the current legal position of the city of Toronto. My understanding was that if you had an agreement with a private land owner then you were ok to vend, is this not the case? You can call me on 6477876795 to discuss, otherwise email is good. Thanks, Pete

  1. Hi Zane! I am a big fan! I work at a dental office in the city, infinity Dental. We were brainstorming different marketing ideas to draw in new patients and I thought of my favourite sandwich place. See we are not in the highest foot traffic location. We are in the lower Simcoe and Bremner area but our office is in a corner spot that can not be seen easily. I was thinking if you guys could park Thelma in front of our place at lunch we could get all the people from the new PWC building to come to our corner. We could post up signs letting everyone know when you will be here. We were also thinking we could offer you and your staff some dental services ie cleanings, whitening etc. Please let me know what you think. I would love for my idea to work out :) Cheers, Gina

  3. Two Questions Zane: Question #1-Fried Matzo with Beef Bacon: have you ever thought of adding this to your great menu? #2-: your favorite breads: Waterbread, rye, double rye, pumpernickel, black russian, challah? Thanks Zane!
  4. Hey Zane, I graduated from le cordon bleu in ottawa just over a year ago, and have been looking for work in toronto for a year now. (I am jewish) and would love a job in a jewish bakery. I am really good with doughs and breads, and according to my friends "have an obsession with baking challah". Do you know if any bakeries in town are hiring? (preferably bread bakeries) thanks for your time
